AYSO will be transitioning to a school-year registration system beginning with the Fall 2026–2027 season. Under the school-year system, a player’s division is determined by their grade-level cohort, with eligibility based on whether the player is in the age range for that school year’s grade grouping. This means that players who are in the same grade at school will generally play in the same AYSO division, even if their birthdays fall in different months. This updated approach follows the new player-age guidelines adopted by U.S. Soccer and is intended to better align teams with school-based peer groups.
AYSO Region 76 uses the school-year (August 1 – July 31) cutoff for player placement beginning with the Fall 2026–2027 season.
Note: Team formation depends on participation and registration numbers, and not all divisions are guaranteed.
AYSO Alliance does not allow move-downs to a division below a player’s age group. We may, on a case-by-case basis, consider move-up requests. Move-ups to the next division are generally allowed when appropriate for the player’s development but must also be reviewed and approved by the Region.
