GU16 Team 3 (The Rush) won the Area 1-P Interregional Tournament played on Nov. 15 and 16, 2003 at John Adams Middle School in Santa Monica. The Area 1-P consists of 15 teams from 8 Western and Central Los Angeles AYSO programs. After playing games each weekend this fall, The Rush finished as the top seed in the Area playoffs. The top 6 teams then played in the Area Tournament with the winner and runner-up advancing to the AYSO Section 1 tournament. (Section 1 is the largest and oldest of the three Southern California AYSO Sections, covering Los Angeles County south of the Valley and all of the Inland Empire into Nevada.

The Beverly Hills team played the 4th place West LA team on Saturday and won 2-1 and played the other 2nd place West LA team on Sunday and won 2-0.

The Sectional Playoffs were played on Nov. 22nd and 23rd in Chino, CA.  The team tied both its games on Saturday, 2 - 2 and 1 - 1.  It wasn't enough to get to the Section finals but the team finished the season undefeated.  What a Rush!!
