GU16 Tournament Team won the Cerritos Thanksgiving Tournament played on Nov. 21, 22  and 23, 2003. The team is drawn from our three U16 teams. 

The teame beat Cerritos, the Section 11 champion team (an AYSO select or plus team ) in the thriller. Cerritos had demolished El.Segundo 3 -0 in their semifinal and we beat Huntington Beach 2-0 to reach the finals.

We won in a penalty shootout after two overtime periods. The game was tied 3 to 3. We scored in the first overtime to be tied in the second overtime. We won on penalty shots 4 to 2.

Of note five different players scored and three other players assisted in the semi-finals and finals (not considering the shootout). We used two goalkeepers in the shootout...Netta Pelleg and Joanna Korshak.
